Meet Kara
Owner and Lead Designer
Kara is the founder and owner of Elevated Living Home Design. She was born and raised in small town Mather Manitoba on her family's farm where she learnt her appreciation for hard work, and began to cultivate her love of design and landscape. Since she was a young girl, Kara has had a creative eye for design, and a passion for beauty and quality.
At the age of 21, Kara purchased her first "fixer upper", and for the past 15 years her and her husband Kyle have continued building and renovating homes together. With her husband's experience as a journeyman carpenter and project manager, and Kara’s keen eye for design and function, the two make a dynamic pair.
Today, Kara’s experience in business and real estate has brought her to starting her own Design Firm so she can fulfil her passion for design, her experience in residential transformation and her love of creating beautiful spaces.
Together with her husband, Kyle, their two kids, Jax (9) and Emma (6) and their dog Victor, Kara lives on an acreage outside of Killarney, Manitoba. They love food, travel, spending time in their yard and garden, being on the water, and anything adventurous and active.
